David Cullinane: Dr. Murphy gets paid €146,000 a year to be Accounting Officer and come before the Committee of Public Accounts and he has to spend taxpayer's money to hire consultants to coach him before appearing before us. Would Dr. Love see that as an acceptable expenditure of taxpayers' money by an institute?

I would expect that somebody who is paid a very generous salary, who is the Accounting Officer, and who is in the job because he is qualified to do that job - one of the functions of which is to come before the committee - should not require training.
