I said to the Minister in the committee that this is not only a very bad idea, it is extremely alarming, and I am disappointed that he would bring forward such a motion at the behest of a Fine Gael Minister for Justice and Equality. Far from enhancing freedom of information or this area of policy it sets the clock back.
