Kevin Moran: The Judicial Council Bill is due to introduce a sentencing committee. The Minister is proposing that it is given the power to draw up sentencing guidelines. On penalties for incest, brought up by my good friend, Senator Conway, the issue arose during Report Stage of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Bill 2015, which intended to increase the penalties for incest committed by females up to a...

Ceisteanna ar Sonraíodh Uain Dóibh - Priority Questions: Flood Relief Schemes Status (5 Mar 2019)

Kevin Moran: As of today, there are 90 schemes on which we are working with local authorities. Some of them have started, while some are in the planning pipeline. To reiterate what I said: there will be no delays, but there could, as the Deputy said, be delays because of planning issues. For example, I was hoping to be in Cork, with work started and machines on site, at the end of last year, but that...

Ceisteanna ar Sonraíodh Uain Dóibh - Priority Questions: Flood Relief Schemes Status (5 Mar 2019)
