Róisín Shortall: The Health Service Executive has confirmed to me that where a person has an urgent acute need for a medical card, there is a dedicated contact in the Primary Care Reimbursement Service to facilitate urgent assessment of any such application. Details of this contact should be available to all GPs and consultant medical doctors.
