Ruairi Quinn: The claim for advance payment of a home tuition grant, to which the Deputy refers, was received by my Department on the 20th September 2011. I am pleased to advise the Deputy that the claim has been processed and the grant was available to the person to whom he refers since the 28th October 2011.

Ruairi Quinn: The Gross Expenditure Allocation for my Department for 2011 is â¬8,888 million. At end-October 2011 estimated expenditure of â¬7,181 million had been incurred, leaving a balance of â¬1,707 million or 19% still to be spent by year end. At the same time in 2010 â¬1,938 million or 21% of the gross amount allocated to my Department remained to be spent.
