Tommy Broughan: I too welcome the Minister's announcements on mircochipping and passports. When I first raised this issue with him last autumn, I was struck by how little he knew about the horse industry.

What is the timeframe for the introduction of microchipping? Will the racing industry which we continue to subsidise considerably make a contribution towards the protection of horses?
