Jimmy Deenihan: During the debate on the Arbitration (International Commercial) Bill 1998, a commitment was given that section 5 of the Arbitration Act 1980 would be reviewed as under the present legislation there is no recourse to the courts in the event of a party to an arbitration being dissatisfied with the arbitrator's decision. Is the Government preparing legislation, as promised, to correct this section?
