Pat Breen: If there are other issues which the Minister has been unable deal with directly now I ask if he would write to the committee members or to the committee as we are under a time constraint. I will allow Senator Daly in briefly but I do not want a Second Stage speech.

Pat Breen: I thank the Minister for his attendance. There was great interest in this meeting. Any time the Minister attends our meetings it creates much interest. It is good to have him attend as often as possible and I know he does his best to do so for which I thank him.

Pat Breen: There is one issue for members to deal with. The committee is issuing a press release on Srebrenica and I ask if the committee members are happy with that press release. I will postpone discussion of the correspondence and the European scrutiny until tomorrow. I will put Senator Daly's two motions on the agenda for the public session of next Wednesday's meeting. Is that agreed?

Pat Breen: There will not be too many there tomorrow evening. It is for the Senator to decide. I would prefer to leave it until Wednesday if possible but I can do it tomorrow. We are meeting our UN ambassador, David Donoghue, tomorrow and I would appreciate a full attendance.

Pat Breen: No, you are fine. We were all very honoured to be in attendance at a forum held earlier in the year at Dublin Castle which was addressed by the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon. Perhaps Mr. Donoghue will just say a few words on Ireland's membership of the United Nations.
