Bríd Smith: From my experience, my guess is that most of these people are poor, cannot pay their bills and are being cut off. It begs the question of whether anyone follows up with them afterwards. Are they without gas or electricity and lack the money to reconnect? It is wrong that the CRU allows this to happen in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis when profits are soaring.
