Róisín Shortall: Currently there are up to 23 medical detox beds available for rehabilitating drug users. Ten beds are located in St Michael's Ward, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, with a waiting time of 4 to 5 weeks. Nine to thirteen beds, depending on circumstances, are available in Cuan Dara, Cherry Orchard Hospital, Dublin, with a waiting time of 2 months.
