Alan Farrell: Will Mr. McLean consider coming back to the committee with that information? It would be very helpful. Will he consider coming back to the committee to identify the locations of the 606 properties identified earlier? Regarding the maintenance schedule, the DAA does notify, by and large. It sends emails and puts information up on the website. I thank the witnesses for that. I have...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Summer Plans for Dublin and Cork Airports: DAA (19 Jun 2024)
Alan Farrell: My next point is on cleanliness at the airport. It has been fined for the condition of toilets and other facilities. How has it gone about rectifying this or making sure it does not happen again? Although I admit it has been a while since I was in terminal 1, I believe there are a couple of loos there that I would walk to terminal 2 to avoid. Does the DAA have plans to upgrade certain areas?

Alan Farrell: My final question is on the experience passengers had in 2022. I assume we are a million miles from that and that we do not envisage a repeat of it.

- Select Committee on Communications, Climate Action and Environment: Estimates for Public Services 2024
Vote 29 - Environment, Climate and Communications (Further Revised Estimate) (25 Jun 2024) Alan Farrell: Yes. Thank you, Chairman. I had a question about air quality monitoring, and that is whether the Department believes there is a sufficient network of air quality monitoring. The Minister has answered the question somewhat, but further information would be welcomed. My other question relates to land use, and specifically to afforestation. I received an email this morning from an...

- Select Committee on Communications, Climate Action and Environment: Estimates for Public Services 2024
Vote 29 - Environment, Climate and Communications (Further Revised Estimate) (25 Jun 2024) Alan Farrell: It is. Thank you, Chairman. I, too, saw a statistic that showed Ireland per capita was outperforming the rest of Europe. I think it was Eurostat but I am sure that information can be found. My question is about the retrofit programme. Notwithstanding what Deputy O'Rourke said, I think there has been a price escalation but I am sure it is related to inflation. That said, I certainly am...

- Select Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport: Estimates for Public Services 2024
Vote 29 - Environment, Climate and Communications (Further Revised Estimate) (26 Jun 2024) Alan Farrell: I wish the Minister a good afternoon and I thank him for coming in. My questions are broadly covered at this stage but I have a few points. On subhead D3, national broadband, it would be really good to get some breakdown on the figures the Minister provided which state that NBI hopes to get to just over 50% by the end of the year. I think the Minister mentioned 300,000. I assume that...

- Ceisteanna ar Sonraíodh Uain Dóibh - Priority Questions: Child Poverty (2 Jul 2024)
Alan Farrell: I thank the Taoiseach for his response. I have discussed this matter with the Taoiseach and other members of the Government in the recent past. I am always pleased to hear he is cognisant that listening to children is extremely important but figuring out how to turn that into policy is just as important and, therefore, it is encouraging to hear that, and what the Government does in the...
