Joanna Tuffy: We do not have any way of clarifying that. It should perhaps not even be put on the record as the Teaching Council is not here to respond.

Joanna Tuffy: The Teaching Council is a State body. Presumably, whatever money it collects is gathered on behalf of the public. The Minister might confirm if I am right in saying that. The idea is that it would be self-financing.

To ask the Minister for Social Protection if she will consider retaining a social welfare office in Lucan village in County Dublin to cater for the large population in this area and for persons who do not have their own transport; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
