Jerry Buttimer: I am not disagreeing, but is there not a concern that, if one bans slimline cigarettes or menthol flavouring, one is encouraging the illegal trade to flourish? If I smoke menthol, cannot buy a similar product and am at an age at which I do not want to give up cigarettes, is there not a temptation to walk down the main street, buy illegal cigarettes and keep the illicit trade flourishing?
