- Order of Business (14 Oct 2009)
Joan Burton: I oppose the imposition of a guillotine on the NAMA legislation. When the Bill was introduced in the House, the Minister gave an undertaking that there would be no guillotine and that all Members who wished to contribute to the debate would be able to do so. If that is the case, we must have our amendments in by 10 a.m. Second Stage of the Bill is being voted on only tonight. It would be impossible. We would not even have a chance to hear what the Minister for Finance proposes....

- Order of Business (15 Oct 2009)
Joan Burton: On the same issue, we received the document immediately prior to the vote last night and we had no opportunity to assess it. - Order of Business (15 Oct 2009)
Joan Burton: There is no indication of who is the author of the document, what legal or professional responsibility he or she is taking for it, or whether it is the Minister's personal document. I support what Deputy Bruton stated about the Comptroller and Auditor General or another qualified person examining the document.
