I am pleased to be able to make another contribution on another budget, which is budget...

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Assisted Dying: Healthcare Provision and Healthcare Professionals: Discussion (17 Oct 2023)
Alan Farrell: Maybe I have framed it in such a way as to make it mildly objectionable. Perhaps a survey would be a more appropriate word to use, just to give us an indication. Alan Farrell: Dr. Janz broadly covered my questions. Part of it related to the ethical side of allowing a person with a disability to avail of medically-assisted dying. It was more a medical question in regard to the ethics, with which I have difficulty coming to terms, of the expansion that occurred in the past number of years and the further expansion to occur next year.
