Jerry Buttimer: As a member of the committee, the Deputy agreed at last night's meeting that we would allow the Department to make an opening statement outlining the parameters of where we are today, before coming back at a later stage following the publication of the heads of the proposed Bill. Jerry Buttimer: We explained earlier, in the Deputy's absence, that the Department is not running away but will come back at a future date. The legislation has not been drafted. At our meeting last night it was agreed unanimously that we will wait until the publication of the Bill. That was made quite clear.
