Pat Rabbitte: The Minister said that his officials briefed him extensively. How in the name of God could they have briefed him extensively and not brought this to his attention? Why did he not meet with the authors of the report? This is a serious matter. The Minister will recall that not long ago we gave Deputy Micheál Martin a fool's pardon when he had not read the papers about the nursing homes.
