Phil Hogan: For Senator à Domhnaill's information, I inherited, on becoming Minister, 31 European Court of Justice judgments against our country, of which this is one. If they are not dealt with, â¬26,000 per day in fines will be imposed, which will affect every taxpayer here. That is the legacy I inherited from the Deputy's party in government.

Phil Hogan: I came to the conclusion a while ago that the Senator is anti-environment and is not prepared to implement proposals that deal with problems that result in damage to public health and to ground-water, unlike my friend Senator Wilson, who supports the measures that were taken in Cavan, where an excellent job was done.
