Has Gaza been rebuilt and has life normalised? I know the Minister of State said it is difficult getting supplies in and I know he went in through the areas we went in through. Is life normalising? Pat Breen: I thank the Minister of State for his frank and open discussion with members regarding his recent visit to the Middle East, and his officials for accompanying him to the meeting. When we visited in June we also met the chief negotiator, Mr. Erikat. He is an experienced negotiator for the Palestinians and I am sure he will do a good job on their behalf. Pat Breen: We cannot forget Limerick. It is very important, especially as it will be the city of culture next year. The Minister, Deputy Noonan, is pumping a great deal of money into the area. There is no doubt that Limerick, like my own county, has an important role to play.

Pat Breen: I would like to conclude by mentioning a statistic pertaining to the Cliffs of Moher project. It is hoped that 950,000 people - just short of 1 million people - will visit the Cliffs of Moher this year. That will have a significant impact on tourism along the west coast of Ireland.
