Brian Stanley: The provision in the code that requires a veterinary practitioner to ensure arrangements are made for a 24 hour on-call service is not binding on an unregistered body or corporate body. This is a big issue. We have been contacted by veterinary practitioners who are very concerned about the changes. The issue of 24-hour cover is a key issue for the farming community.
