Emmet Stagg: The Dáil reform sub-committee of the Committee on Procedure and Privileges met on a number of occasions. The Government, or at least the Government representative, brought forward a proposal, as well as Fine Gael and Labour, but at the point where there might have been agreement the Taoiseach vetoed any further development on that and no further meetings have taken place.
