Michael Creed: The Forestry Act 2014 has not yet been commenced and therefore the provisions of the Forestry Act 1946 still apply. Under section 37(4) (d) of the 1946 Act a person does not require a felling licence to fell trees which are standing within one hundred feet of any building other than a wall or temporary structure.
