Pat Breen: We have representatives from Dublin and Cork but, coming from the mid-west region, I have to say that the international airport at Shannon could be used as a hub, with fifth freedom rights for Chinese or other airlines to go on to the United States as well. Pat Breen: They have about 50 companies in Ireland. Mr. Murray spoke about the go-ahead for the EU-Japan free trade agreement in November and those discussions will commence in March under Ireland's EU Presidency.

Pat Breen: Japan imports 60% of the food it consumes. I wish to ask about the benefits for a small open economy like Ireland, which has huge food exports, of the removal of tariffs into a country such as Japan.
