Maurice Cummins: Later in 2010, Fianna Fáil, in its negotiations with the IMF, which it did not tell anyone about, agreed to the introduction of a property tax before the end of 2011 and to increase it by 2012. Maurice Cummins: The majority of Senators welcomed the election of our new Pope, Pope Francis. We all wish him well. He certainly has a very onerous task. As the saying goes, Rome was not built in a day, and we should not expect things to change overnight.
