Leo Varadkar: My predecessor approved the introduction of an annual national car test for vehicles of ten years of age or over in August 2009. Leo Varadkar: In January 2011, my predecessor approved an increase in the driving test fee from €75 to €85, as well as an increase in the cost of the driving theory test from €35.60 to €40.60.
