- Water Sector Reforms: Motion (Resumed) (19 Nov 2014)
Billy Timmins: It was depressing to listen to some of the contributions prior to Deputy Denis Naughten. The Irish Water board members should resign and, if not, should be sacked. Billy Timmins: I wish to signal that I propose to submit an amendment on Report Stage in relation to the inclusion of towns in this initiative. I tabled an amendment to last year's Finance Bill in regard to the inclusion of the town of Bray on the basis that there are far more properties in Bray town than in Kilkenny or Galway city. In my opinion, Bray town should have been selected before those two...

- Finance Bill 2014: Report Stage (Resumed) and Final Stage (26 Nov 2014)
Billy Timmins: I concur with most of the contributions made so far. I have an ideological difficulty with the concept of an inheritance tax. Recently, I read an historical document about a landed estate that ceased to exist during the early part of the last century because of the payment of debt duties. No less than other Deputies, I get around quite a bit. I have never met anyone who likes paying tax....

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform: Overview of Banking Sector: Central Bank (26 Nov 2014)
Billy Timmins: I thank the Chairman for permitting me to contribute. I followed Professor Honohan's contribution on the monitor. To take up Deputy Rabbitte's last point, I made a note on foot of it to the effect that this is an easy touch for tax revenue.
