Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine: National Strategic Plan for Sustainable Aquaculture Development: Discussion (1 Jul 2015)

Martin Ferris: There appear to be fewer objections regarding shellfish farming and salmon compared with finfish and I understand there is far more of it. The same is true in respect of Kenmare Bay, in large parts of County Donegal and all those areas where there was...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine: Beef Data and Genomics Programme: Discussion with Irish Cattle Breeding Federation (2 Jul 2015)

Martin Ferris: I thank the witnesses for the presentation. From the presentation, it appears there is a low take-up on the suckler side as distinct from the dairy side. I can understand why.
