They have given due consideration to the manner in which this matter should be dealt with, and they have given much comfort to the family in assuring them that the matter would be dealt with. This has been checked by the Office of the Ombudsman and by civil servants. The matter must be brought into the political domain, and a recommendation from this committee must be made to Deputy Coveney and the Taoiseach's office that they do the right...

John Perry: This is a point of principle. This case has been going on for years, and the last report was in 2009, as the Chairman said. The recommendation should go to the Taoiseach and the Minister, Deputy Coveney, before the dissolution of the Dáil. I am totally unhappy that they have not made a clear decision, regardless-----
