Seán Sherlock: I ask the select committee to note that I intend to bring forward Report Stage amendments on behalf of the Minister for Justice and Equality in order to provide for changes to the Immigration Act 2004 and the Illegal Immigrants (Trafficking) Act 2000. These amendments are technical in nature and provide for urgent and much needed efficiencies in the operation of the immigration system.
