Denis O'Donovan: I support my leader's call for a referendum on protecting the right to water. The difficulty for the country and successive Governments is that the public does not trust Governments or what they do. According to Senator Paul Coghlan, it is already the law that we cannot sell Irish Water, but it is not sufficient merely to have a legislative provision.
