Mary O'Rourke: This issue has been raised many times since the Supreme Court ruling. Senators Terry, Tuffy, Jim Walsh and many others pressed for the introduction of this legislation. I thank the Minister and his officials for bringing it to this House where it has had a good airing. It is an issue which has been constantly brought to the fore during my term as Leader of this House.
