Brian Lenihan Jnr: I am informed by the Director General of the Irish Prison Service that during this period the highest compensation payment to a prison officer was â¬530,000.00. The person in question suffered from post traumatic stress to such a degree that it resulted in early retirement. The amount reflects the loss of potential earnings due to that early retirement.
