If Senator Mullen, or any other Senator, wants to withdraw an amendment and consider resubmitting it on Report Stage, he should be entitled to do so. Diarmuid Wilson: On a point of order - this might be helpful - this is the first time I can recall that this has happened in this House. Potentially it could have set a very dangerous precedent for democracy in this House, particularly for the Opposition, including Independents and small Opposition group Members.
