- Seanad: Order of Business (13 Jan 2011)
Dan Boyle: That said, there is undoubtedly a need for a debate on the continuing revelations before the Lower House. The further questions that arise from the information being given and the way in which the information is being given - it is becoming known to many of us for the first time - require a detailed and serious debate with appropriate answers.
- Seanad: Order of Business (13 Jan 2011)
Dan Boyle: It does not change the immediate situation of needing to pass the Finance Bill. The suggestion of my colleague, the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, should not be shot down so easily. - Seanad: Order of Business (13 Jan 2011)
Dan Boyle: -----it would be an appropriate way of doing so. There will be an election in March and the Finance Bill should be completed by the end of February. I look forward to the support of many Members...

- Seanad: Climate Change Response Bill 2010: Second Stage (Resumed) (19 Jan 2011)
Dan Boyle: I am glad that at last this debate is taking place. The process to bring key legislation in the 2007 programme for Government has been too long. That is an important point to raise when people talk about lack of consultation. This legislation was mentioned then and has been part of that consultation process. I refer to the history of climate change since the Kyoto summit of 1990 and the...
- Seanad: Climate Change Response Bill 2010: Second Stage (Resumed) (19 Jan 2011)
Dan Boyle: Part our difficulty has been a failure to acknowledge the seriousness of the issue. The word "irresponsible" has been used today by a stakeholder about my party's position and the introduction of this legislation. It would be irresponsible not to introduce this legislation and it would be reckless not to proceed in a targeted way not only in terms of what we need to do in the short term but...
