Seán Canney: There will be an increased cost in delivering these grants, but it is currently with the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform to get final sanction for the money.

Lots of times when people are looking for something to be done in terms of an adaptation, their mother or father is in hospital after an operation, their mobility is affected and they need to get something done fast. Seán Canney: I thank the Department and the Minister of State, who has engaged on this a good bit; they have always been open. We are all trying to make sure we are giving benefit where it is most needed, this committee included. I am delighted the Minister of State is present because it is important for him to hear the committee members, but I know he is doing the right job.
