Brendan Kenneally: The ombudsman found against the Revenue Commissioners when they brought the issue to that office. They paid part of the compensation agreed at the time, in and of itself an indication that Revenue had admitted that it had been in the wrong. The issue went before our Committee on Finance and the Public Service.
