Pat Deering: We saw today the importance of exports to the industry. Lairages in Cherbourg was another crucial point. We also saw the importance of an umbrella organisation so that these exporters can have a stronger voice when it comes to negotiation, whatever the case may be. They are three crucial points to sum up our conversation.

Pat Deering: That is very true. Those four points sum up our conversation. The importance of the industry cannot be underestimated if we are to get as many as our small stock calves as possible out of the country to help the beef industry.
