Gino Kenny: I saw an advertisement a number of years ago when the NHS in Britain did checks in supermarkets, which are places many people frequent, and carried out a certain amount of screening and detection. Gino Kenny: Right.

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Assisted Dying: Engagement with People with Disabilities (16 Jan 2024)

Gino Kenny: I have worked in the disability area and have spent a lot of time advocating for assisted living. Assisted living is extremely important, but I also am of the opinion that in specific circumstances a person should have a say and should be able to die on his or her own terms. Joint Oireachtas Committee on Assisted Dying: Engagement with People with Disabilities (16 Jan 2024)

Gino Kenny: What if we had all of that? I accept that there are huge deficits in the context of disability services.
