Dan Boyle: -----merely confirm what is already in legislation under the Control of Dogs Act 1986. The Dublin Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals is already designated by Dublin local authorities. The ISPCA is designated by several local authorities. The Cork Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals is already designated by Cork City Council. This is standard practice.
