Ceisteanna - Questions: Cabinet Committees (28 Feb 2023)

Aindrias Moynihan: I thank the Taoiseach for giving his view. When the Cabinet subcommittee meets again, will it discuss medicine shortages? Is cúis buartha é do phobal go mbeadh baol ann ón tuile. Tá obair planned le fada. Will the Minister of State...

Ceisteanna ar Sonraíodh Uain Dóibh - Priority Questions: Flood Risk Management (2 Mar 2023)

Aindrias Moynihan: Works on the River Sullane have been planned for a number of years. There was an exhibition in the Abbey Hotel. I acknowledge that quite a bit of background work is being done, between surveys and reports. However, there is a struggle to get temporary works carried out in the area. The OPW has handed over the lead role to Cork County Council. What prompted that move? Tá an-chuid...

Ceisteanna ar Sonraíodh Uain Dóibh - Priority Questions: Flood Risk Management (2 Mar 2023)

Aindrias Moynihan: Ballingeary has suffered flooding from both the Lee and Bunsheelin rivers over many years. When they flood it impacts on householders, businesses and the road, but also the defective sewage treatment plant, which results in flooding in amenity areas such as football pitches. Has that been factored in to the case for promoting or pressing forward a scheme in Ballingeary? I understand...

Committee on Budgetary Oversight: Report of the Commission on Taxation and Welfare: Discussion (Resumed) (1 Mar 2023)

Aindrias Moynihan: Both chapters 13 and 15 concern low carbon. I thank the witnesses for the outline and for being here today. There will be options available to some people as regards public transport. Many others, however, will not have a public transport...

Committee on Budgetary Oversight: Report of the Commission on Taxation and Welfare: Discussion (Resumed) (1 Mar 2023)

Committee on Budgetary Oversight: Report of the Commission on Taxation and Welfare: Discussion (Resumed) (1 Mar 2023)

Aindrias Moynihan: My reading of it is that much of the bias in respect of the HVO is to keep it for transport. It seems not to be available for home heating whereas there is what appears to be a quick and easy turnaround to provide a zero-carbon option because fuel is generated from waste. I will move over to public health, chapter 15 please.

Aindrias Moynihan: Gabhaim buíochas le hAndrea Feeney as an tuairisc. Níl ach cúpla ceist agam i ndáiríre mar tuigim go bhfuil roinnt mhaith obair déanta ag Coimisiún na Scrúduithe Stáit chun an plean seo a thabhairt chun cinn. An raibh na páirtithe go léir ar aon aigne mar gheall ar an gcaighdeán nó ar an bpáipéar ar deireadh nó...
