Aisling Dolan: I suppose I am curious. Sometimes in drama and such subjects, role-play can be good as a way to get students to open up a little about how they are feeling about things. Would subjects such as drama and more of the arts be worthwhile in school to encourage students to come out of their shell a little and talk more?

Aisling Dolan: Yes. Maybe sports could be a good way to engage. You make me laugh, Hugh, because when I went to school a long while ago the boys used to come to the girls' school for music and the girls would have to go to the boys' school to do physics. I had hoped that things had changed a little since then.

Aisling Dolan: That was a part of his decision making. I am from the regional area of Roscommon and Galway so sometimes one would have to travel a good distance to get a few different secondary schools. Many students go to the school that is closest to them or based in the same town, so there might not be a big choice.
