Martin Browne: There was never any mention to the couple that they needed the death certificate when they contacted the insurance company. It was only six months down the road that it was mentioned. At this stage, for obvious reasons, the couple does not want to have to go to the children of the chap who died looking for the death certificate belonging to their father.

Europe Day: Statements (9 May 2023)

Martin Browne: I welcome the opportunity to speak on the European project on Europe Day. Peace is something that the EU has at its cornerstone. We see that in its support for the Ukrainian people in the face of the Russian aggressor and we see it in the way the EU has defended the content and the context of the Good Friday Agreement, because the context is important. These are to be welcomed. When...

Food Costs and High Grocery Bills: Motion [Private Members] (9 May 2023)

Martin Browne: I also commend Deputy O'Reilly on bringing the motion before the House and wish the Minister of State well in his new post. It ended the eviction ban with no...

I hope the Cathaoirleach made his pitch for County Tipperary as it is easily accessed by train and the whole lot and is right in the middle of the Golden Vale, the best land you can get. It is accepted there...
