It reminds me of Mr. Liam Cosgrave's closing line last night in the Mansion House when launching Mr. David McCullagh's book on his predecessor, Mr. John A. Costello, that his greatest achievement as Taoiseach was that he had made reluctant democrats of the Opposition, of Fianna Fáil.
