Is that meant to put us at ease? The soldiers on the Government benches are so willing they put their hands up for â¬1,000. It is hardly reassuring.

Luke Flanagan: How is that meant to reassure people? The Government can vote to increase it, if it so wishes. The Minister might not be in office at a later stage because all Ministers seem to move around for whatever reason. Perhaps they want to meet different civil servants.
