Liz McManus: In the middle of May 2000, the former Minister for Health and Children, Deputy Martin, set up the Dunne inquiry into organ retention. Since then, €20 million has been spent on this inquiry, which is non-statutory. There is information in the media that it is to be ended and some kind of inspectorate put in place.
