- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice, Defence and Equality: General Scheme of the Criminal Justice (Sexual Offences and Human Trafficking) Bill 2022: Discussion (6 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: That will happen some day. I do not disagree with the witnesses, by the way; I am just looking for a reference model.
- Defects in Apartments - Working Group to Examine Defects in Housing Report: Statements (15 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: I acknowledge the work done on this to date and highlight the issues in my own constituency, as other Deputies may have already. Many people have been in touch on an ongoing basis over the past year. We have raised concerns in different ways. Since April, we have spoken with homeowners in St. Gabriel's, Granitefield Manor, Cabinteely, Dún Laoghaire and Blackrock, who are all affected....

- Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement: Architects of the Good Friday Agreement (Resumed): Mr. John Bruton (8 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: I thank Mr. Bruton very much for attending. On my colleague's question on a border poll, I sometimes feel arguments to have a border poll today, tomorrow or in five years without any real conversation about what comes next envisage the poll as an end in itself. It is a bit like achieving Irish independence in that this was an end in itself without the statecraft determining what should...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement: Architects of the Good Friday Agreement (Resumed): Mr. John Bruton (8 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: Going back to Mr. Bruton's paper on the twin-track approach, I want to ask him about the experience of negotiating that and how it was reached. One of the things the committee is trying to do is to look back to the personal experience and learn from it at this remove. His paper refers to the difficulty of finding a way to involve Sinn Féin in political talks, given the existence of a...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement: Architects of the Good Friday Agreement (Resumed): Mr. John Bruton (8 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: Presumably, he would have given the same answer, given the work that he did on it. I can only speculate.
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement: Architects of the Good Friday Agreement (Resumed): Mr. John Bruton (8 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: My other question is about parity of esteem with regard to aspirations, which is in Mr. Bruton's submission, and the seemingly forever binary approach to the border poll. It is an interesting point that I had not considered in that depth. At any time when we have that conversation, can we build further options into any new constitutional structure? I do not know. I cannot think through it yet.
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement: Architects of the Good Friday Agreement (Resumed): Mr. John Bruton (8 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: The other one is up for grabs whenever the circumstances dictate.
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement: Architects of the Good Friday Agreement (Resumed): Mr. John Bruton (8 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: I have two other questions relating to Mr. Bruton's paper. With regard to the holding of arms and being asked about welcoming of decommissioning, I refer to his response that to give any other answer would have been to collude in a breach of Article 15. I ask him to elaborate on that briefly.
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Autism: Autism Policy and Employment: Discussion (13 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: My question concerns RPM and the feedback I am getting on it from parents and schools. - Joint Oireachtas Committee on Autism: Autism Policy and Employment: Discussion (13 Dec 2022)
Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: There was also a question around how people felt the level of prompting was appropriate or effective, but this has raised a slightly more interesting question, which is that it does not seem to be on the radar yet. Of course, that may change over time. That was what I wanted to ask.

Chapter 8 - Contract payments in respect of Convention Centre Dublin (15 Dec 2022) Jennifer Carroll MacNeill: I thank the witnesses very much for coming in today. I will go back to the discussion my colleague, Deputy Munster, was having with regard to the convention centre, the deductions and so on. Will the witnesses again talk me through the potential deduction from unitary payments in respect of the tenth, 11th and 12th payment years? What were the reasons for not withholding funds or...
