Eoghan Murphy: On Revenue's website the PAYE Anytime service includes a budget calculator, but I could not access it because I did not have an account set up. What does it do?

Eoghan Murphy: Has Revenue thought about adding to the calculator by giving it a tax transparency element, giving each person a breakdown of how taxes are spent in euro and cent per Department? I have been pushing for this for a while and it would be a very simple thing to do. I have it on my own website and I am not sure why Revenue does not give the information directly to people in a proactive way.

Eoghan Murphy: We have heard from the Comptroller and Auditor General and Ms Josephine Feehily that there is an interest in the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform exploring the idea of a tax transparency calculator. If the Secretary General could look at that, it would be helpful in advance of the next budget.
