Danny Healy-Rae: I thank the Labour Party for opening up the debate but I do not agree with the proposal that seeks to give local authorities authority to issue compulsory purchase orders, CPOs, for land in order to build houses. That is wrong. The Planning Regulator is dezoning land. I believe we should zone more land around towns and villages or, otherwise, not zone any land but let every planning...

Danny Healy-Rae: I am glad to get the opportunity to speak on this Bill and rebut some of the things that have been said by Deputy Cairns. It was very unfair of her to say she did not know any farmer who was doing his best not to do harm to the land he was working. That is totally and absolutely untrue.
