Marie Louise O'Donnell: I will sit down soon. One point is salvageable in the Bill and we must not forget it, and that is the Government's right to compel former private adoption agencies to hand over their records to the national database.

Marie Louise O'Donnell: I propose an amendment to the Order of Business. I am seeking leave to introduce my Bill, the Criminal Justice (Judicial Discretion) (Amendment) Bill 2019. The Bill seeks to introduce judicial discretion to determine periods of time that a person shall spend in prison for the offence and conviction of murder, which we do not currently have. I ask that a colleague second my amendment.
