Seán Ardagh: It is an opportune time to enter the debate. My constituents and I would agree with Deputy Jim O'Keeffe's proposals, which are necessary in principle. Many victims of crime see the perpetrators go free from court on technicalities. This issue must be examined. I do not know whether the Hogan group tabled the proposal before the Deputy, but it is of great importance.
